WOW!! What a launch. Coaches have been flocking to the Coaches Closet like bees to honey. We never expected it would take off like this!! For those of you who don’t know – the Coaches Closet is a collection of every type of document, form, letter, codes of conduct that a coach would ever need. It’s all yours for FREE. This month we are spotlighting a great tool that was provided to us by Kelli Garner from Whitewater High School, in Peachtree City, GA. Kelli submitted a great report called “The 10 Things A New Coach Must Do To Run a Successful Program.” There is some outstanding advice in this report, not only for new coaches, but also for the long-timers as well.. Check it out today at www.coachescloset.net

Coaches
for those of you who have already signed up and are using the Coaches Closet, refer 3 of your coaching buddies to the site and we’ll send you a pair of Nfinity Sandals for FREE (a $25 value!!), just for helping us spread the word. Is that all? Once they sign up, email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it with the names of the 3 coaches, your desired shipping address, and your sandal size. The World’s Are Coming, The World’s Are Coming
Unless you’ve been out of cheerleading for the past 5 years, everyone knows that the World’s are in Orlando April 25 – 27. Why should you be there? First, Nfinity will announce the winner of the coveted Nfinity Cup (see where your team ranks at www. IASFWORLDS.org). The Nfinity Cup is a yearlong competition where teams accumulate points over the course of the season. Any team can win a National Championship – only the GREAT can win the Nfinity Cup.

The second reason to come to World’s? The Nfinity Monte Carlo Night, of course. This black tie gala is the social event of the year. It’s on Monday, April 28th after the USASF Conference, and you do not want to miss it. It’s a Who’s Who of the cheerleading world gathered together to play their favorite game of chance, enjoy an adult beverage or two and kick back and have some fun. The party is open to all paid attendees at the USASF Coaches Conference, so if you want to party, register today. Bring your favorite party dress or tux and come meet us at the black jack table!!

Tate Chalk Married – Fact or Fiction???
It’s real hard to be in the cheerleading business and not know who Tate Chalk is. Tate is the CEO and President of Nfinity, but he started his journey as a cheerleader at South Carolina and continued as a gym owner in Atlanta, took a break and tried his hand at acting, and wound up back in the business, eventually buying Nfinity. And if you know Tate, you know he has a personality as big as they come. Many thought he’d never find that special someone and settle down. Hold the phone people – enter the lovely and beautiful Grace Clinton. Grace has not only taken his breath away, but she has his heart and the two have set a date – yes a wedding date. December 31, 2008 Tate Chalk will officially come off the market. What a perfect date for Tate to get married. We’ll try and pry some of the details out of Grace as we get closer and we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

Beat the Winter Blues
I’m so glad that people like living in the north because there isn’t enough room in the south for everyone. I can’t remember the last time the country got this much snow. And if you’re one of those snow birds who can’t wait for that Nationals down in Orlando, then here’s a couple of money-saving tips you may want to file away:

Palm Lakefront Resort & Hostel (407) 396-1759 4840 W Irlo Bronson Hwy 192. If you haven’t made hotel reservations yet, then give the Palm a try. The outside may not look fancy – in fact it may look run down, but the rooms are clean, the pool is outstanding and the waterfront is gorgeous. They run shuttles to and from the parks, so if you need to save money on a room – start here.

If you’re looking for a little “adult” time after the kids have competed, then here’s a few places to check out:

Big Bamboo – 4849 W Irlo Bronson Hwy. A crusty hotspot for the locals. If you want a great rum shooter and need to get away from the tourists, swing by here for happy hour.

Café Tu Tu Tango – 8625 International Drive – for all you artsy people, this is quite the retreat.

For those of you with a rental car, looking to get away from Disney and go downtown, here are some out of the way places that will help pass the time:

Ybor’s Martini Bar – 41 W. Church Street – best martini in town.
Room 3 Nine – 39 N. Orange Ave – Can you say “Two for One” drafts? Belly up to the bar and save!!

Check it out!

Eat To Compete
Nfinity recognizes that today’s cheerleader is as much an athlete as any other sport. In fact, the argument can be made that a cheerleader may actually be a better athlete than a football or baseball player. The combination of skills required to do tumbling and stunt building are quite difficult to obtain at a high level. Combine the difficulty of improving skills, along with the pressure of being a teenage girl, and you wind up with some very poor eating habits.

As any athlete knows, if the body doesn’t have proper fuel it won’t perform, period. Eating and nutrition should be a very important part of a cheerleader’s daily routine. To assist with the educational aspect of this, Nfinity is including a lesson on proper nutrition with each issue of our newsletter. Today’s lesson is how much to eat and when to eat before practice. We all know how fast paced a cheerleader’s life is and too many times they skip a meal or eat too close to practice. So to get a handle on what and when to eat click here for the full story.

The Voice of The People
The Nfinity design team is hard at work developing the next great cheerleading shoe, but we need your input. If you would click on the appropriate link below and take a quick 3 minute survey you would be giving us valuable input on what YOU want to have in a cheer shoe. We get some great feedback from you at competitions and conferences, but this survey helps us quantify the information and actually put it to use. Click on the link that applies to you and we THANK YOU!!
